Very encouraged by that, bar not taking our chances. And yet another clear cut refereeing decision gone against us this season.

Arsenal very unlikely to be that bad again second half so we've probably missed the boat for picking up points, but I like what I've seen and am still confident there will be gradual improvements over the course of this season.

First Half Observations:

- First 25 minutes was outstanding; had more than enough chances to be at least a couple of goals in front.

- Arsenal are clearly trying to target Kenny in an aerial battle via the long diagonal; but he has dealt with it every time exceptionally well. For a small lad, he doesn’t half get up well in those tussles.

- Our set pieces have been poor. Inswinging corners from our right hand side (Digne) were almost more beneficial to Arsenal as Cech claimed so many and launched the counter.

- Aside from the horrendous misjudge of the bounce in the final two minutes, Keane has been surprisingly solid.

- Richarlison is clearly the one player we can look to to make the difference. Every time he gets the ball, he makes something happen and has been unlucky with his attempts on goal.

- Missing a one-v-one in the first two minutes is not something to judge Calvert-Lewin on; he’s actually been pretty bright and getting into some good positions. Not quite got the required standard though at this level just yet.

Second Half:

- Digne; be careful! Needs to stay on his feet as Arsenal will be looking to target him to get sent off.

- I’m predicting Tosun coming off the bench and getting his first goal of the season. Something about tired legs plus him losing his starting place being a kick up the backside.

Lose Davies and DCL and this is actually a really good team.

Obviously we'll lose today because we're Everton and didn't take our chances in the first half and they'll slot a few undeserved goals in the second half, but we have the making of a good side here.
