I excepted we was down when we didn’t sign anyone in January. Still doesn’t make it hurt any less when I see the same players making the same stupid mistakes costing us week in week out.

Our biggest defensive weakness is our lack of attack. We offer so little threat anywhere apart from corners, teams can just see out 25 mins, then if they feel like it commit 8 outfield players to within 25 yards of our goal. No risk whatsoever.

No defensive setup can hope to withstand that for 90mins. We are down even if we do cut out the errors I fear. 0-0 in every game isn’t enough any more.

If I was Dyche I would know giving them the blow dryer would be a dumb move in terms of their confidence and mental health. But as an Evertonian I would be struggling to not chew their heads off. Too often have they let me down this season.

We are playing the potential league champions away so it is not unexpected but it is just the totally unnecessary manner of the goals conceded that is unacceptable. We even created two or three decent openings but they fizzled out as we are totally useless in the final third.
