One things for certain. We have zero creativity without him. Not saying we would have win had he played but neither Valencia or Mirallas can replace what an in form Barkley does. Last time he was benched he was brought on at half time we were that woeful. And that was against a team facing relegation not champions league.

Maybe that is where his future lies - the impact sub??

I see what you're saying mate. I think we've needed more than just Ross to create. Thats been an issue particularly in away games. With him, the way its looking, about to leave, we'll need two players coming in to compete in that area.

Nice tactic by Koeman, ok Ross you aren't signing a new contract, sit on the bench and watch how far away you are from being good enough to play attacking midfield for Arsenal. Ross then signs new deal.

Its a fair point mate. I really like Ross (as a lot of us do). Want him to stay, but the fact he's a blue and has dallied has been really disappointing. Its hard to comprehend. Its not like we're a million miles away from pushing on either. We'll have to just crack on without him if thats what he really wants.

Arsenal already have 72 points and still need Liverpool to lose to make Champions League. If all 3 win that means Arsenal will miss out on CL with 75points. Maybe Martinez wasn't so "special"?

Decent for the squad if we can get him cheap. Seems to embrace the super sub role. Hopefully nowhere near a starting line up next season though.

Absolutely mate. Every team above us has at least 2 or 3 creative players in their starting XI, and we have just 1 at the whole club. We need to buy another to share the workload/ push Barkley, and I would say another the season after to bring more competition. If/when Barkley goes we need to bring in a minimum of 2 straight away, and I just don't see where we're going to get the quality we need from.

As for now, Barkley having a bad game will still create more than Valencia and Mirallas combined. I just can't see us troubling Arsenal's iffy back line today. Can just see it as a back to the wall job.
