Lawro's Prediction for Arsenal v Everton

Everton are unbeaten in five games and they came close to beating Arsenal at the Emirates last season but I cannot see them getting anything here because of Arsenal's home form.

I know Samir Nasri is out injured but the Gunners have got so many other attacking options.

Everton's problem is that it is difficult to see where any goals for them would come from at the Emirates.

Prediction: Arsenal 2-0 Everton

Here are all of Lawro's 2010-11 Premier League predictions, together with how the League Table would look like if he was correct...

I could certainly see 'like-a-new-signing' Saha getting one again tonight now he has a bit of confidence. Still, it'll be a hard game no matter so 1 - 0 blues.

If we roll over and get spanked this game it will not be pretty on the heels of the transfer market lack-of-news. The team better thank their lucky stars they are not playing at home this week. It could have been ugly. Unless of course we win - in which case party all around!

Not looking forward to this!
Hope Moyes starts with the same team as saturday.

I'm going to predict a 2-2 draw, with us 2-1 up and 10 mins left!!!!

gotta cheeky feeling we're gonna get a 1-0 win saha 1st goal. i've since seen an advert in the echo for paddy power with 100/1 odds for saha 1-0. COME ON YOU BLUES.
any chance we can get a song for vellios to the tune of grease lightning? get it grease/greece?........

......i'll get me coat.

More chance of seeing lightning probably.

Summer dreams ripped at the seams,

that's the only line I see relevant.

I thought we played GOOD against the strongest team Chelsea could field..

There is no reason to think we couldn't get a result against these..

COYB!!!!!!!

Everton may include 19-year-old Greek striker Apostolos Vellios, who was signed on deadline day for a nominal fee from Iraklis Thessaloniki, in the squad, although he is unlikely to feature.

Interesting.

Its all greek to me that!

Important to get him involved in 1st team squad life from the off considering the lack of bodies even if he's not likely to get some gametime any time soon.

Be nice to see Bily put on a good show tonight as although Arsenal can break at speed, their general play is at a slower tempo, which hopefully results in Bily having some time on the ball when we have possession.

Interesting.

Im sure the OS said he would be joining the reserves, so this is probably not happening. Still it would be nice to see us having a bit of faith in a youngster and he does have some first team caps for greece?

Right. Distraction of the window is OVER. No point looking back. The board will know already under no uncertain terms that we ain't happy and I think this will unfurl over the next few weeks/months. Things will have to change upstairs and it's now obvious to a criminal extent. However...

Billy, you've got your chance now lad as no wingers have come in (though I'm sure you'd prefer to be in the middle anyways - Ossie's in the same boat) Team tonight has a chance to brighten things up a tad and give us some hope. Can't be having any sulkers (esp you Johnny - sorry you're move didn't work out and all that but you're still earning a pretty decent crust so lets show a bit tonight eh!!!) This squad needs bringing together again and perhaps we miss Timmy for that. Nice group huddle before the game, maybe a kiss and a cuddle if that's what it takes but we need to get back to ONE FOR ALL AND ALL FOR ONE mentality now. I feel this is crucial. Lets get roaring again. Couple of wins and we'll soon be back in the right direction.
