Fair enough, I liked the Rothko and Picasso eps tho
I will definitely give the series another go when I'm in a better frame of mind. My concentration is all over the place lately.

David Shrigley isn’t for everyone but is one of my favourite artists around
One of my favorite painters. The Mona Lisa is a disappointment in real life. The most impressive painting I ever saw in a gallery was Nighthawks by Edward Hopper. It is so luminescent it was like looking at a TV. Found it surprising as I'd always thought it was a dark painting.
Found this picture online, doesn't do it justice though.

Caravaggio is another favorite of mine. Was in Paris a couple of years ago and went to The Louvre, I slightly shocked myself by how much I enjoyed it. I found the Caravaggio’s held the most interest for me. I am the least artistic person you could ever meet, can’t paint, can’t sing, can’t play an instrument, can’t act, nothing but found looking at the great masters very moving.
Caravaggio is another favorite of mine.
I haven't seen this before, but I really like it!One of my favorites is Franz Marc, and this painting is quite cool as it was partially burned in a fire, and then restored by Paul Klee. But the burned part adds to the painting, which makes it an usual painting by Marc as he didn't use much brown/darks.

Putin found the elixir of life ?One of my favorite paintings is The Arnolfini Wedding by Jan Van Eyck. I studied it in college and was able to see it in person when visiting The National Gallery. It was even more amazing to look at up close. The details are incredible! Behind the subjects on the wall is a mirror that shows their reflections. If you get a chance to go to that museum, definitely check out this one.

Hopper could paint so much desolation into a simple motel room or bed room. One of my favorite painters.
He was a very troubled individual, often on the wrong side of the law and ended up on the run for murdering someone after a sword fight. Incredible painter though, I have a few books on him and other renaissance artists/art.He could paint the best dark scenes, layers of dark upon dark, all with incredible depth, then BAM--a huge white-ish contrast. Quite a difficult person if I recall.
