At some point Arteta will leave us, I think we must resign ourselves to that. But what I have seen of him off pitch , he seems a decent lad so I reckon he will stay this season and will leave next summer. Just my gut feeling.
Pienarr . well I think he was hoping a host of clubs would have come in for him after a sparkling world-cup , but they haven't and neither was it sparkling for the lad.
I think Davey should be planning for the eventual loss of both in the next year.

I think Mikel will stay. Especially after the reports of the club being ready to offer him 75k a week. The only problem with that is the likes of Pienaar and maybe some others, wanting their wages increased when contract renewals comes around.
In all honesty, Mikel is worth that sort of money. I don't think we will find another player of Artetas quality willing to come to us on anything less. If the club does decide to sell, I think we will again go through the process of buying a raw talent that is struggling at his current club and nurchuring him to his full potential. AKA Arteta & Pienaar.

LCAB, i am fairly new to the forum but you seem to be a man in the know, judging in the reaction of the other posters its clear your not just writing a load of speculation for the sake of it. Did your 'source' let you know the reason Mikel might be coming round to the idea of staying? Just wandering if the potential of the squad might be swaying him??
