I reckon on another day Arsenal walk away with a point, but tactically he was far too passive today. When they pressed us they got joy, and when they got it forward quickly, they looked dangerous. But it was few and far between and they were quite pedestrian.

Have to wonder why he didn't play Lacazette through the middle. Nketiah is far short of the quality you expect an Arsenal side to have up front.

Loved Arteta and Lescott more than any other player of that era.... weird isn’t it?
Lescott turned in that effort against Arsenal, Arteta scored the goal against Fiorentina which hurts our fanbase more than anything of the last 20 years, yet its Arteta i have a hate for and not Lescott at all.
The lad has handled himself with nothing but disgrace since he left. Can’t stand the fella.

If you’re going to act like peak Guardiola, act like peak Guardiola... enjoy the sack, but not before a League cup semi at goodison.

Aubameyang's goals papered over the cracks at Arsenal, like Sanchez before him. When they don't have a star player outperforming the rest they are very average and have been for a long time.

It's criminal having Lacazette in the bench.

That was as bad a front line as I've seen from an Arsenal side for years.

Make no mistake, they had a good 5 minute period 1st half, good 10 minute period start of 2nd half and a good final 7 minutes. A grand total of 22 minutes in a 95 minute match.

Awful side and they look like a side mismanaged when you see how many goals they've scored when they've had Lacazette and Abamyamang at their disposable

I thought we weren't really at the races today, which shows how poor they were. They look more like a Moyes side than a Pep side anyway, and not one of Moyes better sides either.

They were far too pedestrian and lethargic. When they finally upped the ante in injury time they looked threatening but it was a bit late. It would have been a more straightforward evening for us without the needless penalty.

I thought we done well to hit the levels we did Tim. 3 games straight to stay very disciplined and focused where we haven't been able to rotate much because we don't have the quality required.

Great win for us, best of the 3 in fact beciase it was the pen where we all thought we'd do an "Everton that" lol

Looks out of his depth here

spouting the we dominated the game and possession when a) they didn’t and b) so what ? they did nothing with it and lost

Still got a soft spot for Micky and don’t wish me I’ll but it does not look good for him or Arsenal

Arsenal have not actually scored an away "Normal" goal since Anfield in september that was not a pen-last 2 goals were today a pen and man utd november 1st a game they won at man utd a pen-[also there last league win]
