Bumped into him in Sapporo in town a while back, still in awe of him for that goal vs Fiorentina. Fave player of recent times for me. Just saying.
 
He would be great alongside either Barry or McCarthy linking with Barkley, you know it, I know it. Let us stop pretending we don't miss the sexy little scamp.
 
My Arsenal mates love him. Not the star of the team but much needed and missed when not available. Must say we did get the best out of him and his last season or 2 was not the arteta we knew.
 

The move was good for both parties we never missed him one bit and he was badly stale here at the end,was a great player and we definitely got the best out of him. He's been better at Arsenal than he was in his last 18 months here but he hasn't been pulling up trees.

The most disappointing thing was when we had him and fellaini in the centre of our midfield and we should have been boss but they were both crap. 10/11 season I think.

Just seen i'm basically saying the same sh*te i said a year ago.

On paper that should've been the ultimate destroyer/creator combo and they were absolutely poo together.
 
I think towards the end of his time here he had a lot of injuries, but he was always a threat when he played. I'm not sure about having him back. I prefer the happy memories. When we sold him I thought we got decent money for him, I was just annoyed that we didn't get chance to spend it before the window slammed shut.

queue the "where's the Arteta money Bill!?" shout.

In my eyes he is the star of the team. we look lost without him. He is basically the glue that holds the midfield and defense together and his tactical understand is fantastic. He's also a great man. One of the most likeable footballers I have seen play for us and he has become wengers best mate. I think he will manage arsenal one day

Nah, he'll manage Everton one day though (y) along with Cahill in some capacity.
