Why spend 12m on a player who had one or two seasons left in him when you could sign a younger player you can build around and doesn't need replacing and more money spent
Because he was a very good player availabile at a reasonable price for his abilities?

And @bizzaro, if your gonna try and vault me, always know that I cant be vaulted.

I hope he stays for a long time.

Somebody that thinks Ashley Williams would make a good signing is injecting crack.
Ashley Williams put him in his pocket.

It happens, decent player Williams, I mean some days he plays like utter donkey crap, so never wanted him at Everton, but hes like a bigger stronger Distin, before he got old.

You come at the king, you best not miss.

I don't agree to be fair don't think he's good enough whatsoever

Certainly not a player who will get us into the top four and he won't get any better either

One of the stand out performers in an eye catching Welsh team and their captain and available for 10 or 12m? He isn't a bad player at all

Honestly, I'm really disappointed with the way this is panning out. Most games with Swansea he was practically carrying them through.

I don't think he's been bad since coming here. Just distinctly average. Early days I guess but when you sign someone at his age you don't really have time to be waiting for them to bed in.

Why did he just stand and get owned by Deeney in the run up ro the first goal.He didnt want.to win the ball and generally doesnt look up to it
