To be fair, it suits the majority of our players. It's better for Holgate, Coleman, RFM, Baines, Barry, Davies, Barkley, Mirallas and Lukaku, off the top of my head. It could even work for Lennon (backup for Coleman as the RWB?) and Del (either side of, or just behind, Lukaku?).

But the mentality was similar. Wales and Everton at the moment do better when we are under pressure. Struggle when we have to break other teams down. Except for Chelsea away we've been alright against top 6. So frustrating that we've thrown away so many points against teams who are struggling. That's the challenge for Koeman. Between now and the end of the season can we win the games that a neutral would think that we should win.

Noted the "scrap" "handbags" today , was thinking as much as I've loved Jags over the years Williams showed the type of leader we've missed for ages. Right in the thick of it taking no crap from anyone....well done Ash never change.

Some good points here, fair to say that we always play better when the opposition come onto us, but that's true of a lot of '2nd tier' perm teams and IMO will be what defines our progress in the coming seasons. Can Ronko get us playing football that opens up the teams who sit back against us?

Looks more comfortable in a back three with the current personnel we have.

Should we sign a pacey defender who is decent with the ball, he'll be fine in a back two as well. We just can't leave him exposed. Mori does that too often IMO.
