Ashley Williams

The immediate response of the medics was some indication of how seriously they could see the injury to be.

Mrs BR (nurse) said they were administering nitrous oxide straight away - that is to ease serious pain.

As for Ashley - I won't jump on his case as I know he and Seamie are really good friends.

He will be very worried about Seamus and is no doubt feeling very bad about his own immediate reaction - adrenaline makes us do strange things at times.

Lets all get behind the Donegal warrior and give him a boost next Saturday with a united and passionate performance.

Strange one really.

I understand the card thing but I also think anyone on the pitch close knows it was a shocking tackle, and there's time AFTER checking on Seamus, to discuss the punishment. Think professional head kicked in before emotional that's all. Seems a top lad does Williams on the Everton videos.
He walks right past Seamus to berate the ref. Barely says boo to a goose when wearing a blue shirt as well. Not happy about his reaction at all.

Quite clearly had no view... how could he have possibly seen Coleman from all of 4 foot away.

Unbelievable that people are defending him ignoring his Everton team mate

How many people realised it was serious before the stretcher came out? Not many and I doubt Williams did either.

People seriously having a pop need to take their abuse to Taylor instead. You'll be cheering his name if scores in the derby...

A couple of my mates in the group chat reckons he was laughing at one point (no one suggested he laughed at Coleman), did anyone see this?

Initial reaction was furious at Williams, having seen his reaction though no chance on earth he suspects how bad the injury is or even that one has happened, Coleman 100% is in shock so no screaming in pain etc which is why it takes a good few seconds beforeit starts becoming apparent soon as his Ireland teammates go over to him and see it.

If he ran over anytime a Everton teammate got a bad foul against him in a game, he'd be a laughing stock as no player does that.

If it makes people happy then he's probably hating himself for his immediate reaction in hindsight.

Not even club mates, should just be a human reaction to put football aside and see if someone is okay.
Absolutely mate.

Funny one this. I don't think we've had a case of this before.

Obviously gutted for Seamus, but also potentially very disappointed in Williams. His reaction post match (if any) will be interesting.
