Considering he partnered half of his games with Jags and half with Mori and he never had any consistency back there its not hard to see why people consider him being a weak link.

What's mad is if he was so bad and the other two worse how did we finish 7th with as many seem to think a really poor defensive line.

If you remember only 5 teams have more goals conceded than we do to in the league we share 6th with Arsenal in that stat.

I think too many are unfair on him.

Personally, I don't know what I expected but just find him underwhelming

He's definitely not the most exciting player that's for sure but he did a job asked of him i feel.

Now i'm not one for stats generally but if you cycle through the premier league defensive stats hes always in the top 10 and squawka rank him in the top 10 of defenders last season too.

Either way it will be him and keane this season and i trust Koeman to get the best out of both of them.
