Could mean holgate is on his way. Young will be used as a utility man who gets in the team on merit. We've deffo shifted players and wages already. Im not having we are totally skint. If all the money we've made since january has gone to the new ground wouldnt there be evidence in the accounts? Coz isnt it a different registered company responsible for the stadium build. Im just having flashbacks coz money coming in and not being reinvested in the team has been a feature of kenwrights chairmanship since he got the job when walter smith was manager. Money spent. Quick sale of players. Money recouped going from the transfer fees given. Everton still skint.

If we aren’t buying any superstars in the areas he can cover (which we aren’t) then at a massive stretch, if low wages for 1 year, then maybe it starts to look slightly less idiotic.

Question is whether it’s better having Young in for 5 matches at LB if Myko gets a knock, or Godfrey (who is already on the payroll)? The start of the whole problem is that the first choice LB is so weak, and that doesn’t get solved by this move.

Urrgh. Whatever.
I'd still like to see a LB brought in and Young can be deployed if / where needed, but IMO if there are no other signings Young is our first choice left back. Young started 10 games in a row at the tail end of the season there, and it was Villa's best run of results, so there's no reason to think he couldn't be a starter for us.

he just wants to relight his love affair with dele
