2023/24 Ashley Young

Wasn’t amazing but showed how a natural right winger (I.e. not Jack Harrison) can improve this side.
Dyche isn’t playing him as a natural right winger though is he. Work hard, close down, press hard and try to nick the ball or turnover possession.

I am not a huge fan but Dyche plays him because he carries out his instructions

Despite him being a seemingly weaker point in the team, we do seem to pick up more points when he plays. He had a poor start to the season & some iffy moments at other times when fit plus he gets done for pace a lot.
I don't really understand it. Am i seeing this wrong? Is it a little bit like Siggurdsson (sorry, he who shall not be named) when he did our heads in but turned out we were marginally better off with him?
I'm not talking a night & day difference with either but just enough.

Never liked young for years which is very wrong as I don't know him. But like others that stay professional and prolong their years I have loads of respect for him.
