Tbf, accidentally posting an April Fools day joke on the wrong day is a pretty Everton thing to do.

Seems a really strange thing to praise a player for but he played a big part in that penalty being given(besides being pulled down for it) just by making a big deal of it to the ref, almost demanding it got looked at. Our players are far too slow to do that sometimes.

Beto was basically getting murdered, then just getting up and getting on with it like he wasn’t just dead a moment ago.

He could learn a thing about the old appeal from Young.

He doesn’t deserve the stick he gets. He’s had a great career and gives 100% - it takes a lot of professionalism and discipline to still be playing now at his age.

Credit where it's due, Ashley Young did very well this evening, his passion, energy, and commitment throughout the Newcastle game was unquestionable.
