Just a quick thanks for all who read, liked and re-tweeted, as well as commented and added to the article here.

At last the positive message re Moshiri's Everton is beginning to be picked up by the press. I think over the summer there will be plenty to match this growing sense of expectation.

I think the lack of press scrutiny is in part down to the quite low-key and professional way we have conducted business. How far do you think that Moshiri is quite happy to keep it this way? I like it, it seems to fit what Everton want to do very naturally (more John Moores than Roman).

Throughout the affair with Southampton we have conducted very well. We haven't resorted to the war of words and slurs coming from them, we have just focussed on the job of acquiring the manager we wanted. Everything else, accusations of greed and lies, calling other clubs small etc that those connected with Southampton we have by in large not retaliated too. It's business, it was never about proving how big we were/are.

The other question I have, is do you think the press may turn on us? We are seeing beginnings of it, trying to present Everton as a moneyed club etc?

So far very impressed with Moshiri. it's clear we have significant backing but it's not turning into a parade like I remember the early days of City were. We have got a serious manager in, we will get a DOF to ensure we continue to spend wisely. We can definitely go under the radar this season and if we get off to a good start, who knows what is possible.
