Th Everton Myth
I don't know what it is about the media and their attitude towards Everton. But they have somehow managed to Jedi mind-tricked every f*cker who talks about them.
How does David Moyes do it? They don't have a pot to p*** in. Well...
Howard £3m. Jagielka £4m. Distin £5m. Heitinga £6mil. Baines £6m. Neville £3.5m. Gibson £2m. Pienaar £4.5m. Felliani £13m. Marallas £6m. Jelavic £6m.
Now that potential starting XI cost a whopping £60million to assemble. So if you are wondering how a top-ten club, with top-ten players, with a top-ten budget, with a top-ten manager manage to finish inside the top ten every season with a slight challenge for the European places....then common f***ing sense should tell you how. It's not a miracle. It is what it is. WAKE UP! I am sick of Moyes getting over-the-top praise for finishing in the top ten, on the whole, for ten years. He finished fourth once, but that is instantly challenged with a 17th place to go against it.
Also, for those canny people who will say well they sold Lescott for £24million and Arteta for £10mil to pay for a lot of the above...well those two players cost £5mil to add onto the signings of Yakubu £12m, Bilyaletniov £10m (sold for £6m), Andy Johnson £9m, Kroldup £5m and Saha £4m in recent years for not a lot of recuperation.
Moyes is not a messiah, he is a good manager at a top-ten club...who by the way has won f*** all. In ten years of stability for a club like Everton, I would say that is a disapointment if anything.

Does he need a hug?

Fair point actually. I'm sure that two thirds of the league would love to be able to spend £5.3m per position on average.
He mentions Lescott and Arteta but fails to put in Rooney and Rodwell who brought in over 40m
The fact is we have a net spend of 32m since the Prem started 20 years ago, Compare that to these net spends
Liverpools 295m
Sunderlands 90m
Spurs 170m
Fulham 90m
Stoke 55m
Newcastle 101m
Hardly a top 10 budget
The same Mirror was spearheading the recent Niang to Everton 'news' as well.
So clearly Niang is going to Werder Bremen.
You gonna cry because he's boss on Footie Manager lad?
18.7 Net Spend in 11 Years.
Not even gonna go any further really, infact im just gonna copy and paste this from now, I wont be saying anything else EVER again on here.
Fairly sure that's wrong?
It's puny whatever it is though so I'm not arsed.
