Not asking for much today, just passion, craving, craze, enthusiasm, fascination, obsession, fixation, ruthlessness, aggressiveness, leaders, goal scorers, defenders, keepers, managers, coaching staff and Alex Iwobi.

Yeah you are talking about this season, i am talking just in general to finish in top six which is what our long term goal is. But yeah we need to start scoring a lot more goals and spreading them throughout the team. I made a post about this earlier on explaining about how in the top 4 teams aside from Bruno (mostly pens) the other 3 teams have mostly got their goals from having multiple players on single figure numbers, of course there are a few exemptions such as Gundogan and Vardy (12+13 respectively) but it shows you don't need a 15-20 goal man. We need to score more (as you say) and we need to be a threat from across the pitch like the better teams are rather than just being reliant on DCL and Richarlison and the odd Digne free kick and odd Gylfi anything.

I would tend to think that in most seasons the defense we've been playing would be in the 35-38 range for goals against.

The really scary thing about our goal tally is that twelve of them came across three games in September, October and November against two relegation sides and the side in 17th. The only times we've scored more than two since then were the back-to-back fixtures against Tottenham in the cup and the Old Trafford draw.

I'd like to see more goals across the pitch, but I don't know how realistic it is with the personnel we have. I have thought, and continue to think, that if we add a quality AM and a legitimate threat up the right side while retaining defensive quality through the middle and at the back, we're in business. Turning the midfield into a truly boss unit that gets after the ball while threatening to score is probably a project for summers after this one.

This season there have been so many occasions on which results have gone our way, for a change! Here's another one - win and go to 6th place, level with WHU and maybe to pull ahead from Spurs. If we get 9 points out of 12 we'll be really good I think, as the others have harder games. This is exciting and I hope they do it. It's frustrating because we have the talent now, and it's really just a matter of Gylfi, Holgate, Iwobi, Richy and Coleman pulling something out of the bag - the others are consistent now. These 5 are either not existent or not up to the standards they have shown in the past, so I think if they play well, and the others maintain their levels it'll be good for us

And Alex Iwobi? You better ask for a large slice of luck as well

I was feeling very confident about this one until I looked at the table and the fact that Liverpool were away to Manchester United, we can go into 6th place if things fall right, we have been in this type of position before this season and this usually results in our players not turning up.
Still, this is the day that is in it, the day when the squad decide enough of this lounging about and get their heads down and produce a performance. Villa 0 - 3 Everton (Richarlison, DCL and Coleman); not too much to ask for.

They've won two of their last 10 (against Fulham and us). Players really need to step up, you'd think a few of them would be thinking this could be it for their Everton careers unless they put in a shift.

Evening fellow Toffees

I think a scrapy game with us emerging as 2-1 winners courtesy of a thumping DCL header in the 93rd minute
