FB's offer no attacking threat from outwide.

DM can't sit and protect the back 4 as he wants to press high up

Wide players that aren't suited to playing wide

We all know we're crap but it's hard not to point fingers at Dyche for selecting a completely unbalanced side.

I dont think garner is exempt. Digne is playing high, and is essentially unmarked. Garner needs to help more at the back

The only 1 I would disagree with is iwobi he’s being played out of position again he’s not a winger much better in the cm

Doesn’t stop him passing to a player in blue or putting a tackle in what ever position you are put in he’s just a-waste of a shirt oh I forgot he runs around a lot with no end product

Having Garner and Patterson tuck in so narrow is giving Digne miles of space to hurt us. Seen the same at times last season under Dyche but it's insanity to continue with that after the Diaby chance

This is the real problem, same with Young on the other side as well. It looks bad because it’s giving Digne the freedom of the right hand side but they are obviously being told to do it.

Its a disgrace how villa went down and since getting promoted have won pretty much every game against us. It's embarrassing. And this club has constantly started seasons not prepared. We are playing a cm on the right and we have danjuma up front in a game we are 2 nil down in. Sheer state of it

They were in as bad a mess as us under slippy, emery has worked miracles there

If I'd have written a first half outcome for this match, I don't think I could have written a worse one than what we have.

Our one true striker returns in glory from a string of injuries and gets a head wound after 10 mins. We are sluggish and let a player romp through 5 half challenges to score. We concede a pen that a week earlier was denied by a ref and 3 VAR officials.

There really are few positives to take so far. Danjuma had one decent involvement and two weak ones. Looks like we are not ready. For anything like!
