Agree with this.
Are we good enough to write off three/four/five games as that's what we are doing going into the season unprepared?

I think forwards will be better knowing they have a solid midfield and defence behind them, will give them more confidence.

Really annoyed at the lack of striker for this as I feel they're there for the taking. Villa fans clearly not happy with Gerrard so an early goal could really get the place a bit restless.

Quite like Villa and wouldn't mind him getting the sack so I can be vaguely happy for them when not playing us...

These punked us twice last season without us scoring once. Let's get 'em back ffs. Myko and Patterson to show Digne that the deal to sell him and reinvesting those two actually well and truly made sense. No ill will towards Digne, but he was crap for a long time before we sold him.

May sound defeatist, but I’d take a draw. No real goal threat from us, we’ll need to take full advantage of set pieces. However I think the midfield and defence will be quite solid (did I just say that about a current Everton team?).
