Cannot comprehend starting Gordon as front man instead of Rondon. While he was up front last week he wasn't winning headers, wasn't holding the ball up, and wasn't posing very much of a goal threat.

That’s not his his game to be fair to him. Not his fault we have no strikers or ones we can trust. We should be playing balls over the top with grey and Gordon, getting there defenders turned. Should also play more balls down the channel towards the corner flags and get them spread apart. However I doubt we will do that. Think Gordon is only at his best when he is running onto balls or taken defenders on out wide.

Our centre backs are going to need to be regular scores for a while. A forward line that lightweight only works if they are world class players and/or have struck up an almost telepathic relationship. Neither of which applies for us.

Praying we score early form a corner. Hold firm for an hour and maybe nick another one as they start to push.

The reality of the situation we find ourselves in is that we don’t have a Premiereship centre forward, Frank had to pick between a Division One class centre forward or a Premiership player who isn’t a focal point for the attack. He plumped for the latter. This way round if we have no impact he can throw on Rondon and pray. Our season won’t start effectively until we get in a centre forward who can score.

It’s interchangeable, so we’ll see Dimi and Dwight in the middle at some point. Can see a bit of logic keeping it that way as Mings might not be match fit so that might be a target with Dimi and Ant’s pace
