Having watched the highlights this morning it didn't seem all that bad? Infact for a friendly it seemed to be played a decent pace (although considering it's mid-season for both clubs I can understand why). We seemed to create a number of chances in both halves, so looking at the stats in isolation doesn't really tell the full story. It's the very obvious fact that we all know by now that our chance conversion is utterly attrocious. Apart from those two worldy saves that Begovic made (one of which looked offside anyway) their chances weren't all that dangerous. Looked like Price and the defence in general had solid games.

I only watched the highlights this morning, so can’t gauge a whole lot, but we created a fair few chances and Gordon seemed to look something like the player he was last season. Highlights can be misleading, but I thought we looked alright. Even myko created 2 clear cut chances. That’s a plus at least.

But people will say because none of the chances were on target then everything it's the same as not creating chances to begin with.

Proper divvies.

The Aurora Bar
I opened the thread on Page 13 to people fawning over Celtic and how much they’d thrash us. Was an interesting 23 pages after that.
The game was mostly played in our 2/3rds of the pitch.
We started with a back 5...sitting deep.
They had a back 3 which = our MF out numbered -Yet Again.
It's a good job Celtic...for all their possession, were no great shakes.

Penalties notwithstanding - sideways, backwards and expensive beer were the winners on the day.

No one goals scored and the same clowns squandering chances

How many times will it be fed to gray on his left where it's perfect to keep going left and fire it back across into the corner of the goal only for him to cut right and waste it

Team is devoid of scoring goals, friendly or not
Maupay was though on the keeper, but being too close, strangely elected to try the chip rather than slide, poke or slip it low past him.
The keeper kept himself big - as you should wasted chance...and we didn't have many.

As a side issue, was it the pitch or the ball or both that made the game even scrappier than usual with us. Not trying to excuse another poor performance.
