Transfer Rumour Axel Witsel

Seems his agent does......

The agreement was for him to go on holiday and close immediately after.

The agent can agree whatever he wants, but until the club (Zenit) agrees anything nothing is going to happen. Zenit publicly have stated they will not do business with Napoli. As of now I don't believe that stance has changed.
If he wants to go to Napoli and the club won't deal with them I'd rather not take him under those circumstances. Better to have players who actually prefer to come to the club.

09.47 BST: Everton look set to miss out on Axel Witsel to Napoli, with the Serie A runners-up offering €22m plus an additional €3m in bonuses for the Belgian midfielder. Gazzetta dello Sport says Zenit Saint Petersburg are prepared to accept the offer and Witsel will sign a four-year contract worth €3.2m per year

Can't be true mate

@bluestevon can you explain that they can't afford the wages we are offering and that Zenit will not deal with Napoli

Well I'd say that report isn't true because if those figures are correct then he would be earning less than what he gets basically tax free in Russia. He's hardly going to move for less money, this is his last big contract.

I'm agreeing that it Can't be true mate

@bluestevon explains it a lot better though, with the official stance on not dealing with Napoli

Bored of this now. Clearly it's the player himself holding the deal up, Zenit have accepted our bid but the player himself prefers Napoli and is stalling in hope they can come back to him with an offer that is at least somewhere close to ours. Set a deadline for him to accept or we pull-out of the deal I say, we have other business we need to crack on with.

Going to start handing these out to some of the lads on here:
