So you're telling me his reps and Stoke have been trying to smash out a deal for probably months - the agent slips some information to the media and within hours the Club succumb to his demands?

Stoke wouldn't cave to his demands unless there was a concrete stimulus forcing them to i.e. an offer from us.

That's the point I am making. We can't all treat a story as gospel just because it's positive news yet dismiss a story when it's news we don't want to accept.

This was the issue with Mata. No-one wanted to hear/read that he was staying at Man Utd - hence why everyone still hates me here.
