Transfer Rumour Axel Witsel

Appreciate why you may say that mate, but I think you'll find Rom re-committing himself to Everton in the very near future.
He, his agent and even his dad we're pushing hard to leave but no serious suitors emerged and there was a softening of the stance.
Now Chelsea have come in but are well short of our valuation. Could still go either way but if Chelsea are serious and improve their offer to near the £65 mill mark (touted as the original asking price given to Lu's agent) I expect he'll put in a transfer request. All depends on Chelsea and any other striking targets they have.

Do what mate? Have an open and honest conversation with a group of fellow blues? Someone asks a question, I'm happy to answer. If it turns out wrong so be it.

I appreciate the information, mate. I just don't understand why you'd put your head on the chopping block again. There's a rabid, new breed of desperate fan on GOT and twitter who are only too happy to get on your case if your predictions are slightly wrong.

People need to give Everton a bit more credit here.

So you really thing they are not aware that Witsel is looking for the best deal he can get and possibly champions league footy? (Which there is nothing wrong with by the way).

If people on this forum know it, then you can be pretty sure they know it. We will not be hanging on this lad. He may be first or second choice but we will have lists and lists of others.

People need to realise deals like this will take ages. Will be hard. And some will not come off. It won't always be the players fault and it won't always be Everton's either.

We also need to be aware that not all players, in fact hardly any top ones, will come here to bleed for the blue shirt. Which again there is nothing wrong with. We need quality. And that makes things tougher.

Thanks for reply, wasn't having a go at you with my earlier response.

Overall it seems like playing Russian Roulette with these signings. When all is said and done better we aim high than secure "easy" signings that won't significantly improve the starting XI/squad.

I would be pleased signing any 2 of AW / WC / KK / JM now. Just 1 would seem a poor return for such prolonged and sustained effort.

I suspect the club would be happy with 2 as well.

Nailed it.

The whole perception of Everton needs to change and that'll take time.

As I've always said, Rhyl wasn't built in a day.

maybe @The Esk is like the old cricketer Gladstone Small. He didn't have a neck, so in essence he isn't actually sticking his neck on the line.

Absolutely agree if they came on here to see the state of this forum on a Friday they will be peeing themselves, regardless of what anyone thinks any Prem club is a multi multi million pound business and will work on similar principals as others as in using their heads and not hearts like us supporters I'm as impatient and frustrated as the rest but to think that we have our fingers crossed waiting on one transfer is hilarious.

You can imagine the Everton board, Witsel,Carvalho and Koubially all on a group chat, having a laugh at the state of this forum going shall we announce this Friday and a unanimous 'no give it another week let's see some more heads explode' then 'same time next week guys'.
