Hahahaha that atmosphere was so bad during the end of Martinez reign I actively binned games off even with a season ticket, the Grand Old Team Forums are a Mecca in comparison.

The root of the situation is frustration. With murmurs from the club, journalists and supposedly 'ITK' fans we all thought we'd have a massively exciting transfer window with high profile players coming in. For whatever reason it just hasn't happened. There's still a limited amount of time but it's been a bit of a balls-up so far regarding the playing staff, nobody can dispute that.

my point is that reading these internet forums gives you the impression that we are in absolute crisis, we aren't, most of these forums are largely populated by non match going people who create this air of desperation, when you actually turn up to GP it is a completely different atmosphere.

I'm another one of those that by the nature of my vocation left Liverpool many years ago.

I now only get to 2 or 3 games a season if lucky, I bring my son and pick my 78 year old Dad up as well as he will now only go if I am with him.
They are really special days for us all and I do wish it could be for every game - but it simply can not be.

None of that makes me any less of an Evertonian than anyone else !

As for atmosphere you must have a different take than me - the last couple of games that I got to towards the back end of last season the atmosphere was absolutely awful and the worst I had ever know in over 40 years of going to Goodison - air of desperation would be an understatement.

That's utter rubbish. The atmosphere at Goodison was awful in the Gladwys towards the end of Martinez's reign.

Of course if you're in certain areas of the ground where they're too busy munching prawn sandwiches to boo...

It was bad but negativity is far worst on here.

People spout lots of negativity and nonsense on here from the safety of behind there keyboard, they'd be told to button it at the game.

Clearly what's happened here is tirion has cracked under the weight of the transfer window and the lack of transfers. He used to be a sensible poster but he's spotted a brief window, a vacuum of wums that he felt needed to be filled, he's promptly gone full cockwomble and decided to fill it.

Well that certainly is a decent point aye. Although I do think some of the onus is on the reader to be sensible enough to sift through the fuming and the sense.

Let's be sensible - Moshiri is hardly likely to buy the club, recruit Koeman and Walsh, plan a new ground, then refuse to invest in the team is he?

I've been off for 4 weeks (used holidays too) with torn ligaments and I can't say I blame you. I've just channeled my boredom into shooting the neighbourhood cats with my old BB gun instead.
