Transfer Rumour Axel Witsel

Think his agent has been playing all parties to get the best deal.

Oh Christ mate, for sure there has been a huge amount of that going on, which really just means he has a good agent if it ends with his client earning the most he can do, and the Italian Media has willingly galloped along with it

But soon as Zenit released that statement via TASS that was the end of this saga IMO anyway, since then it's just been the Italian media trying to get as many clicks out of the story as possible before he joins us.

Lots of reports saying deal with Napoli definitely off and it's between us and Chelsea for him now.

Why would Chelsea sign him when they are in for Kante? Although a lot of chat about Fabregas to Man Utd so maybe they want two midfielders?

Can't see it though. Witzel is ours I reckon.

Must be a proper sad life pretending to be an in-the-know journalist, eh? All that time making up rumours and pretending to know footballers' plans and thoughts. Worst thing is, though, that so many people see a fancy foreign name on Twitter and somehow think he is talking sense.

Terreur has just been tweeting stories relevant to the transfre from any media source mate as they come in, he has never claimed to be ITk about what was happening personally, all he has stated and did so very early on and has consistantly repeated such, is that Transfers involving Witsel are complicated and will be a bit of a drama.

So on that regard the onyl thing he has said personally in this - has been bang on really

Agree totally mate. I think am past caring if he signs now though as its obvious he's whored himself around Europe.

I can get used to a world where Everton financially out muscle teams.

It does feel weird though.
We haven't actually outmuscled anyone as of yet.

Early days but so far we have seen palace and west ham throw money around at the same rate as us, we have only signed a back up keeper from a division below and looking to sell our defender before we even bring anyone else in never mind a replacement.

Until we start signing these players i'm hedging my bets personally. No point in doing all the talk if it ends up empty handed, i mean mata still hasn't been signed and that was pretty much done over a week ago it seems.

Chelsea aren't mate, they are just being used by the press for more clicks on what would otherwise be a dead story - he will be going to Everton now despite a few dying throws of stories linking him with x,y and z

I'm just going come out and say it.

It would be nice with som solid progression of this saga about now.

Palace and West Ham both i would imagine are facing the same problem re raising the wages they pay, and neither is on the verge of selling a player for 50m mate to allow a massive wage expansion at the club.

We will see at the end of the widnow more whats what in the league, until then everyone needs to calm down a bit really

There is one common denominator in all of our woefully slow transfer dealings over the past 10 years. See if you can guess who it is

Patience.

It's what I keep telling myself mate. Let's look back at the window on September 1st rather than panic now. There's no point in worrying, all it does is cause anguish and arguments amongst fellow fans.

Obviously we haven't as yet.

But as soon as we do I can get used to it.

He's been the common denominator in most bad things with the club, I just trus the Esk that he's not having much say anymore.... I hope

Koulibaly will be a very interesting one, doubt we will get him as think Chelsea will, but if we managed to basically 'outspend' them for a player it would send a pretty big signal about intentions from us.

Would also be nice to see us for ocne have a uge player sale and then rather than spend it on 4-5 players just to go out and get the best player we can in that position even if it does cost most or all of what we sell stones for
