Posted via Mobile Device Talking of Latch, i dont know if you've heard this before, i hadn't till about a month ago. Saturday, April 29, 1978 ~ Latchford scores two goals against Chelsea to take his tally to 30 for the season. That, i obviously knew about, but not this, The Daily Express had put up a £10,000 prize if he achieved it, he collected his money " but decided to share it amongst the ground staff and his teammates as well as making a donation to the PFA Benevolent Fund, leaving just £200 to take home for himself ". Heart of gold eh.

& then got hit by a tax bill on the £10k which apparently took a long, long time to sort out

my choices would be southampton, reading, oxford united, swindon town, brighton & hove albion (once the new stadium's built), bournemouth, bristol city & bristol rovers, crystal palace - all much easier aways for me to get to than newcastle united, sunderland, middlesborough, hull city, blackburn rovers, bolton wanderers, etc.

PNE--Great club with a unique ground. Be fantastic to see a class act like Finney watch his club at the highest level once again.

Bristol City--Wurzels' music blasting from the PA. It would be a different, crazy atmosphere.

Norwich City--Need another year of Drunken Delia giving lectures on the pitch.
