Perhaps a local schoolkid could do the job. It happened here with one of the AFL teams, when a schoolgirl designed them a new jersey and they were so impressed they replaced the 'professional' design with hers.

Not a bad idea. The Club spent money on a design team for the new badge for 2013-4 and, as it was terrible, anyone of us could have done a better job and thankfully it got sacked off after a year.

There's been plenty of examples of companies' rebranding and redesigns being laughed out of town e.g Royal Mail being Consignia, and then back again. Fancy job titles and expensive design execs doesn't always equate to class, common-sense or value for money. I think it'd be good PR for Everton and Umbro if the they local art school kids design the shirt and then let the fans choose -- as we did with the badge.

That's correct. Not on any junior shirts from a few years ago.

I like the shiny one we had at the start of the 80s for one season, just after the collared one we'd had for a few years. It had a broadish v neck as I remember. Don't seem to get shiny kits any more - fashion I guess.
