To be fair, City regularly have red in the away kits, usually red and black stripes. United have had a fair few blue away kits as well. It's never really been an issue for them, but that's their issue. Personally, I wouldn't want any red in an a Everton away kit, even maroon. Still grates me that Southall wore red versus Rapid Vienna in 85

Who gives a sh*te mate? As long as it's not blood red and doesn't say Liverpool on it, it's not a Liverpool kit and no one would ever think it is.

Southall wore Red that night because he was Welsh and he wanted to show he was a proud Welshman, nowt wrong with that.

Come on mate, maroon might be excusable, but there would be riots if we ever played in an actual red shirt.

Of course I don't want a red kit, but only out of taste, not because the colour is evil.

Remember when the Kopites kicked off about that bit of turquise on their third kit a few years ago? Proper mad that was. I remember going into the Liverpool shop in Liverpool ONE to buy something for my step-dad and this group of cockneys walked in, looked the new kit on display and one of the women went "No I'd never buy that, it's got blue on it."

I felt like saying her "yeah love, you proper hate Everton you don't you? You've been raised to believe that blue is the enemy".

Take your word for this.

Some supporters might be okay with maroon, but I'm not having it with red. Did they not change the colours of the One2One logo to remove the red bits on the Farrelly kit?
