in all fairness, its kind of mad that messi wasn't on it as well (and i'm the last person to defend him or barca usually)

also the fifa world 11 shortlist is out. Names include ronaldhino, wayne rooney, john terry, and fernando torres. I see no possible way that both gareth bale and wayne rooney can be on the list at the same time, rooney should be excluded for form this year, bale for form last year. criminal that suarez and bent were both excluded.

world cup win will mean it's a iniesta/xavi fight.

probably xavi, but iniesta did get the goal that won it.
 


Xavi's been the best player in the world for 3 years now.

Compare Messi when not playing with Xavi (e.g. for Argentina) to when they're together.

Thats a bit much - Messi has been better for the past few seasons - but Xavi is definately up there, he is exceptional at what he does - in fact, he probably deserves it for this pass alone (3:18 and onwards), if not for his insane number of passes in the recent ****ting of Real Madrid (117 passes, 114 of which were accurate).

The one at 3:23....holy crap that was superb vision, inch perfect. Type of pass Beckham dreamed of making in his prime.
 
Another two for Messi at the weekend takes his league tally to 17 in 13 games for Barca. Add in a goal per game ratio in both the CL and the Spanish Cup and he's netted 24 in 20 games so far this season. Incredible.
