Seems like the mayday radioed by the ship managed to mean that commuter traffic was blocked in time from getting onto the bridge.
Unfortunately the work crew on the bridge fixing potholes either didn't get the notice or were unable to get off in time.
I'd like to think the person managed to escape and was okay enough and went on to be helpful rather than sit there with broken ribs sticking out like.1 refused medical treatment.
What a country you have there, when people choose to refuse medical treatment due to how much it costs.

I should imagine that the amount of compensation any victims can expect from the ship's insurance would more than cover any medical bills. Don't forget the USA is a country where you can sue McDonalds if your coffee is too hot!!1 refused medical treatment.

A couple of weeks ago a neighbor had a cardiac event, she'd had a heart attack and open heart surgery before so was pretty sure she knew what it was. She had to be persuaded to get an ambulance as she was fearful of how much the ambulance would cost - it cost another neighbor $4K for one when he had a bad back spasm and couldn't move. They are currently fighting the insurance company to see who pays for it.1 refused medical treatment.

We take the NHS so much for granted over here, we abuse it, destroy it, we really have no idea how lucky we are.A couple of weeks ago a neighbor had a cardiac event, she'd had a heart attack and open heart surgery before so was pretty sure she knew what it was. But that is probably for the current affairs forum and don't want to derail this thread....
