It's the distortion of fair competition.

We tried to play ball with the league, we asked them for help - and they twatted us into the middle of next week.

Meanwhile, others that sought to destroy competitive football got a slap on the wrist.

Yeah I get that .. but corruption is associated with monetary gain. Not sure the one word nails it. "Favourites" "Unfair" "cronyism" perhaps?
