well frankly monty, you said you were proved right about something, at the end of the day if Newcastle finish higher than us in the league and barton has been a key part of that then it will have been a mistake not to sign him.

If it turns out we missed out on a good player then thats a bad thing isn't it, if he plays well and newcastle do well there will be a million people saying "why didn't we buy him...."

I'm not personally one of them, I hope he goes down with newcastle, just imagine that fat sam, barton and the barcodes all in one go.

they agreed to putting the clause in, and it was city that washed their hands of him after numerous breaches of club rules. at no point did he say he wanted out - he may have been asking in a million other ways but....

as for newcastle, allardyce will implement the bolton model there - specifically, kick everything and complain about every decision - hes never had 50k+ on his side at home before.

Alas Joey is gone to the Barcodes to join the ranks of the nearly there and definitely next year men. You all know my opinion on him. But i guess only time will tell did we miss the boat or save it!
