Beer, revisited

One thing lead to another and I ended up having a 12.4% 750ml bottle of bourbon barrel aged orange chocolate stout to myself.
I was in a bar in Belgium once, a place called Poperinge, and I had a full 750ml (wine bottle size) of some delicious gueze to myself after seeing it on the menu.

What I didn't see was the percentage, so when I ordered the next round the gentleman behind the bar lambasted me as it's meant to last the entire evening.

I think I'd had about five swigs. Ooops....

Last nights tipple ( lots of it )

Hinky Punk ( 4.1% ) from the Big Bog Brewery in Speke.

Lovely stuff, a really smooth, pale, not overly hopped IPA.
I love Hinky Punk as it's got a really good flavour, smooth as you said and also at 4.1% it's not much over being a session ale. I've missed local ales!
I’m going for a few pints later with my crazy mate, who hasn’t been out for 16mths, due to the plague.

I’m expecting it to be like an evening with Herbert Lom in the Revenge of the Pink Panter lol
Would you like me to speak to a contact of mine and book an ambulance in for you both? Two weeks ago, I had five pints and the next day wasn't pleasant.

My wife wouldn't actually believe me when I kept reiterating the next day that it was only five pints.
