it doesn't necessarily all need to hateful but the sheer volume of spite and anger directed at him is bound to have a negative impact and you don't see the things that get sent to him privately do you? I shudder to think

Isn't this like the 100th time he's deactivated Twitter? He'll be back. Surprised it's taken him this long to work out social media is full of blerts.

He shouldn't have to quit. Can you imagine how distracting his notifications must be?

No one wants him to be abused, but at the same time he's put himself in that position as someone ITK with the Everton hierarchy.

But I say he's a little more than that, as do many others. He acts unofficially-officially as their propagator to Evertonians online. Every post I've read of his is very much angled to place the board/owner's decisions in a positive light. What was he expecting the reaction would be to him when that board/owner see us sleepwalking into the season with no striker cover...and we still dont have it....and he's waffling away about Diaz not being in the frame and then he is *in the frame* on the final day of the window just to pipe down the massive criticism of the club on the final day of the window?

He's flounced to cover his tracks.

I have nothing personally against Myers. But the position he takes makes him a willing participant to any criticism of his posting online.
