Bellew-Haye

It was a completely shot and injured David Haye, Bellew is not a top 5 cruiserweight in my mind and that shows how far gone Haye is. Brilliant fighter in his day and levels above Tony Bellew but watching that honestly was like watching Tyson when he fought Williams and McBride, he was a shell of himself and Bellew knew it after the first round. He went back to the corner saying 'Hes slow! Hes slow!' To coldwell, clearly made up, he knew he wasn't in there with the Haye of old and anybody who disagrees hasn't seen many Haye fights

That's all boxing is now mate... people fighting people they know they can beat who just want that last payday...

Joshua/Klitschko isnt a proper fight
Fury/Klitschko wasn't a proper fight
mayweather/paquiao wasn't a proper fight

Nobody holding any of the belts has every fought anyone worthy of taking them from and that is a sad reflection on where the sport has gotten to...

Thurman is fighting Garcia, very good fight

A really mad fight. Tony wanted to drag him out beyond round 6 was my thinking, and thought he was gonna get clocked before that and finished. Took two big shots in the fourth and didn't wobble, chin on him like.

That sixth round was mental. Full on Rocky. I was urging Tony to not get sucked in yet he did and Haye gassed himself out. The fight was won then on that mad minute they went for each other.

The win was impressive but also Tony using his head. Didn't get sucked in. Didn't lose it at Haye hitting him after the bell. Not when he offered his hand and Haye tried to take his head off. Also more importantly didn't tire himself out trying to finish Haye in the seventh. Took a step back and fought a sensible fight.

So while the the eleventh will be remembered it was Bellew's clever strategy throughout the fight that impressed me loads.

I'm delighted to see passionate blues do well. Well in Tony lid. A fight he had loads to lose but flopped Haye out of the ring to win it. Boss.
