Thought it might be a Sky special, but now the bid is being reported by an Athletic reporter Laurie Whitehall, from what I’ve seen most of their reporters don’t regurgitate made up wham without fact checking.

Would be an interesting one for sure. I’m tempted to say loan a CB then go for an elite CB next summer, but I would also be pretty excited having Holgate, Branthwaite and Godfrey all coming through with the potential to have at least one gem on our hands.

There wasn't a settled back 4 at Norwich last season - and Everton aren't looking to buy the back 4 in it's entirety. The point still stands that you can have individually good players in a bad team.
