Yep, written in the stars as always, so predictable the media. Why the media don't want a more competitive league is beyond me, surely the more competitive the more exciting?
I don't think the media influence signings do they? It's not like Ben Godfrey being excellent is a secret. It doesn't really matter what the papers write surely?

It's the constant saying things like 'he should join so and so if he wants to win trophies' etc happens all the time, it's bad enough they get tapped up on international duty, the media are always wanting the select few teams to have all the best players, it has made the game go to rats pee in my opinion but no they don't literally sell them.

We need that CB partner signed this summer along with a RB.

Nice to see Araujo (Barca) mentioned. If thats the type then it means a quick and athletic mobile centre partnership.

Along with all of our defenders the test is when we're not sitting deep. Having a few better midfielders who can keep possession higher up the field would help mind.

...even when we sit deep, the opposition can get in behind. We’ve seen it lots with Keane in particular, but Mina and even Holgate are not the quickest and lack power of recovery. Godfrey has that in spades, he must be a nightmare to play against.

None of our defenders particularly fill me with confidence. None.
Need to get to a level they can at least look comfortable defending as a unit without the rest of the team camped in front of them. Thats got to be the goal.

He's playing very well and overall think we can say he's had a great first season.

Still some raw bits to his game, but I trust Carlo to improve them (his positioning for example, but his pace gets him out of it).

He's got the physical attributes so it's just going to be about refining his game going forward.

Remember that the media makes its money by keeping people watching. The best way to do that is to throw red meat to the fans of the sides with the largest fan bases.

He's the right kind of player for us to be inquiring about, but I don't see them letting him go unless they well and truly collapse financially and he's able to force an exit.
