He’s better than Holgate but know what you mean and tend to agree. On his day fantastic but he’s got areas of his game need improvement. People way ott about him at the moment, can’t do a thing wrong to some.
He’s playing next to a donkey. Get Yerry with him and he’s sound.
Not saying he is a bad player at all but we have a tendency to latch onto young players who show promise and build them up into world beaters in our heads.
Then people inevitably turn on them when their form goes crap. See Holgate.

Would have love for that header at the end to go in but I got the impression Godfrey never thought he would win it.
He needs more work and to learn the positional side of the game. Trying to play offside in that scenario was never going to work. If he stands with his man it's a simple clearance. It was a big big error and sets the tone for the performance.
