Quite excited by this prospect. Good attitude, won with Shrewsbury, won with Norwich, captained the England U21s, and considering we only contacted Norwich last week about this, prefers us over the barcodes. What’s not to like?

....like the way he spoke about ‘learning’ from others and how he ‘dies for the cause’. Attitude is so important and this fella talks like the game matters to him.

There is something in that. I've probably appreciated that more over recent years. This lad was very much "on the wrong side of the tracks"- not from a PL academy, broke through at York I believe, moved to a championship under 23's team before back on loan to Shrewsbury before making the step up. He's not been lauded in quite the same way that others have done. He's had to fght his way up.

When you look at say Holgate, Calvert-Lewin, Coleman who all fit into that camp you think it's probably a bit more suited to the club currently.

I'm not trying to kill the lad as I like him, but you do wonder if a Moise Kean maybe had that in him quite enough, and maybe had an expectation he turns up and gets played? I think this lad knows it wil be hard to break in and he will have to work hard and fight for his chance. MIna and Keane certainly won't make it easy for him. He seems aware of that, and I like that.

looking at his interviews he seems the opposite of DCL, an unsmiling contrarian. He seems to have a big presence for a youngster. something tells me he wont be joining in the high jinks dance after a goal is scored

Could apply to home grown players like Tom Davies too. If we worked really hard in training, built himself up physically he could become a lot better as a player

I liked the way Coleman goes over to see what they were doing. Realised they were doing a jig and thought nah not having that and turned away...

I think there is certainly that question with Tom. In general he seems to work hard, but whether he has gone the "extra mile" and say physically built himself up enough is an open question. His biggest problem to me is he often looks confused on the pitch, but it's certainly a valid criticism that he hasn't done enough.
