Why did Pickford kick it back onto the pitch? Then why did he react like a madman and challenge the Chelsea player when he knew that it had gone out and any ‘goal’ would be ruled out by VAR.Linesman does his job that doesn’t happen
Do you mean a corner?Tell you something wouldn't have happened if the linesman had actually flagged for a goal kick
Like the Origi goal at Anfield, the ball was going over the bar, then he palms it back into play. Yes, JP won us the game with his display against Chelsea last season but we just have to accept he does weird, inexplicable things now and then. Why did Pickford kick it back onto the pitch? He has the physical attributes and defensively he is sound, but his work on the ball is a major concern. And hopefully the new defenders we've signed develop a hugely successful understanding, meaning he can't get back in the team without upping his game drastically.
I only really remember that mobile abattoir getting dogs abuse from opposition fans for trying to break every other footballers legs once he returned.….hopefully, it might not turn out to be the worst event when he looks back on his career.
i remember Carragher getting dogs abuse for his performances before he broke a leg. His career only took off when he came back. A little time out can work in your favour.
Because he is ?Why did Pickford kick it back onto the pitch? Then why did he react like a madman and challenge the Chelsea player when he knew that it had gone out and any ‘goal’ would be ruled out by VAR.
He does. But thís wasn't one of them. A typical reaction from any keeper would be to try and keep a terrible back pass from going out for a corner.Like the Origi goal at Anfield, the ball was going over the bar, then he palms it back into play. He must have known that the ball had gone way over the line. He's not blind. There was no way a 'goal' would have stood so why did he make a challenge for the ball?He does. He obviously thought he could keep it in, slid towards it, then realised it was out. Irrespective, Godfrey's stupid back pass led to the incident and his challenge led to the fracture. He must have known that the ball had gone way over the line. He's not blind.
