Not for me. His cough hasn’t taken away his ability to play football. In the same period that Godfrey “looked” alright, so did Keane, during a period of effectively training games in front of no crowd. Part of a Norwich team that conceded 70 goals in a season before Covid even existed.

Keane was fine under Carlo though when he had simple instructions, he is one our better players in the air and is a fairly good long passer of the ball (better than Tarkowski is) his issue is confidence and the fact it goes on/off like a light switch. Godfrey has never really had a proper nailed down position due to him being quick but aside from that he isn't really good at anything else.

I had great hopes for Godfrey when he joined the club. As others have said he looks like he has all the attributes of an athlete, strength, pace and height unfortunately he isn't a Premiership level footballer. I don't know whether post covid has impacted upon him but he certainly hasn't kicked on and improved. If we can get some money for him from Spurs then I'd rip their arm off.

Hard to say. The both have weaknesses but they are different. Keane is decent aerially but can't defend 1 v 1 very well but Godfrey is extremely poor in the air.

Seemed to have lost his pace when he kept getting rinsed by Antony at old trafford last season. Goes under the radar how bad a buy he was because we all want him to be good.
