The problem is the giant gap in class between Gylfi and KdB and Bernard and Silva will make that system unplayable for us more or less. City get away with not being great defensively in midfield by never really giving the ball away. No shot we could pull that off

It took those players at least 12 months to grasp that set up and KDB had a spell in this league that failed and now he looks unplayable.

We won't really know if we have the set up and personnel to execute the game plan until we have tried it.

The potential is there though.

Can’t teally aurgue with what you have said , but, it would make a nice change from the crapbwe have served up in recent years. I’m just looking forward to seeing actual football being played and shots at goal

KDB was given 2-3 substitute appearances under Mourinho in 2013-2014 and then loaned him to Wolfsburg just before the summer transfer window ended.

That's not a spell that's just typical Mourinho not giving a young player a chance.

My worry regarding Bernard is small stature,this league can be unforgiving for a slight player,the physicality of the league is something he has to get in tune with quickly.

Also his goal-assists have to go up than what they were in his time in Ukraine.

157 appearances and 28 goals in 5 seasons in Ukraine for the dominant team is a not so strong league is a worry.

Maybe Silva will play him behind Tosun as a playmaker ala David Silva and have Richarlison and Lookman wide.
