Since this is not even disguised as a shot at me I'll say Bernard was excellent today. If that's his weekly level we have a hell of a player. If that's the top of his game, and to this point that is the top of his game, he's still an average player. Carlo has clearly created an actual attacking system and I really hope that unlocks Bernard because we desperately need it to.

Did wonder but assume it was a fitness thing / him going into a red zone for a potential injury.

He was absolutely outstanding today. Pinging passes in behind, superb control of the ball, bullying players much bigger.

His first touch for DCL's absolute woeful miss btw, absolutely magical <3 Today was the Bernard we have been waiting for, now he has to keep it up and go into the next one with the same momentum.
