Welcome, thanks for all your helpful info to those that are travelling. Not able to go myself but your descriptions of your fair city have made me want to visit in the future.

Glad you are enjoying the forum and that you plan on sticking around after the game, enjoy having the perspective of other teams fans.

hey lads

forgot to introduce myself here. wrote a lot since december but never about me...so...

i'm a 32 year old graphic designer and soon-to-be tattooist from bern.
i'm supporting the young boys since i was a young boy myself. sounds very wrong in your language but i'm used to all the jokes. but don't worry... i'm engaged to the most beautiful spanish/turkish girl in the world and our two young boys do support the young boys too. it's what young boys do over here.

i initially came here to read about your team and write about mine, but i think i will stay for a while even when our affaire d'honneur is over...i like it here.

it's a pity that i won't make it to the away game. but i visitet pool two years ago when we draw at anfield.

since i don't have a team in england and never liked the fc, i'm thinking about adopting everton as my team on the isle.

---

just saw that my tattoo supplier is located in liverpool. would have been a nice shopping trip.

Welcome dude.

Probably The Location
Of The Arteta Money

The Visiting Blues will find it funny.

tell me more

The longer you hang around, the more of these in jokes you will get an idea about.

In a nutshell, we sold Mikel Arteta to Arsenal at the last minute of a transfer window, meaning the cash we got for him was not seen to have been reinvested into the team.

Hence the "What happened to the Arteta money?" "Where is the Arteta money?" type posts.

Some other seemingly baffling phrases you will see only on here are;

"FFS Kev"
"Hi Mick"
"The Lisbon" (when someone, usually a newbie, asks where blues are meeting before a match)
"Get Jol on"
"Victor" (Usually in a manager thread)

And plenty of others.

We talk mostly in riddles, with the occasional chat about togger. That is football by the way.

And this is required reading for non scouses brits joining GOT, let alone Swiss lads ffs!

Like he said. The chairman was confronted by some fans getting out of his car and they asked "Where's the Arteta Money Bill" so now you see folk asking "where's the (insert subject) money"

The Arteta money never did show up though so it's probably in a vault in 1 of your banks.

we have something similar here with the "mangane billions". we like to "invest" it in a lot of different things but every time one finds the money, it is lost after a few seconds.

no idea what stance of pop means. don't expect to much from me. i don't get most of the "slang".

POP stands for Pineapple on Pizza. Seen as the spawn of the devil by the majority of GOT members, but some weirdos seem to think having the stuff on a perfectly good pizza is acceptable.

GOT official line is that it isnt.

You will also see threats of a banhammer being swung. That is obvious I hope.

And one serious one. We have a match thread, which is often funny. If you do take a peek, please, please do not request, er, "alternative" ways of watching the match on line. Otherwise.

ban.webp

In our Yearly Accounts we always have "Other Operating Costs" that usually see off any Profits.

Our Owners do actually take us for Fools most of the time, 2 of them have incredible amounts of Money, 1 is the founder of Planet Hollywood with Stallone, Willis & Schwarzenegger & another is 1 of Britains richest businessmen but apart from their initial outlay in buying the club.... which 1 described as "Just like a bad night at the Casino" they've put nothing else in.
