Best burger / fast food

woo tan scran?
moo tan scran?

Does ODB know about this?

Woo tan scran is a vegan chippy by mine on Lark Lane, I think they teamed up with Down the Hatch a while back.

We were in the middle of ongoing negotiations to bring fake salt and pepper chicken to the concourse at the Gravel Pitt. We had big plans for a share box called Da Mystery of Cheeseboxin. It’s all up in flames now though

Am I in a stress dream or induced coma?

Tried some Hattie B's in July with my two oldest. Almost ruined one of my kids' life, it was so hot. I'm not made for that stuff, even the medium heat was tough on me. But the chicken was tasty.
I’ve wanted to hit them up but they’re relocating out of Deep Ellum and it’s temporarily closed. Patiently waiting on their return and stocking up on antacids.

A few thoughts on an excellent thread idea full of terrible opinions:

Most fast food is eye of the beholder stuff; eat what you enjoy. That said, most of you have terrible taste.

To a Yank, Fast Food is very contextual; everyone has faves but it's about what hits the moment (and often for the group).

FIVE GUYS SUCKS. I mean, it's ok, but for $20 it should be far better.

My favorite has long been Fatburger, but they're no longer local.

Twisted Root is solid for burgers, although maybe it's not "fast food."

Cane's is a very solid place for chicken, but it seems to split opinions.

I'm very high on Torchy's right now for semi-upscale tacos. It's worth the visit.

Overall this thread is fine, but I give it a B-

Fatburger was my favourite when I lived in LA. Far better than the overrated In N Out Burger, which everyone says is the best.

Just to clarify my stance on takeout burgers. I don’t think any of the true fast food burgers, including Five Guys, are better than what I can make at home. But there are places with menus and servers that make some truly spectacular burgers. That’s a whole different category though.

@SerenityNigh you need to try Rusty Taco next time you’re around Dallas. The Torchy’s tacos are too complicated for me.
