Nebbiolo

Valuation: £108 million
Obviously your dog is the best dog. But as far as breed of dog goes, which is the best? Although cats are better, I like dogs (apart from labs). But recently I've become quite attracted to pugs. It was actually Dutch Toffee that started the ball rolling. Then today there was a segment on the news about a beauty contest for pugs. Yesterday there was a documentary type thing on naughty dogs, which a featured a gang of poo-eating pugs. I just think they're adorable. I also like Jack Russells and Rotweilers. In saying that, I wouldn't have the last of these for obvious reasons.

Anyway:

1. Pug
2. Jack Russell
3. Rotweiler

Neb, your first 2 choices would be the last for me.

1. Beagle

Sadly the chocolate lab is a lunatic of a dog. My sister had one, and although a sweetheart, she chased everything that looked in her direction. My cats hated her.

Minature schnauzer. Great dogs, easily trained, don't cast and have a great character! We've three in the family!!

I like terriers, earth dogs. Love their energy and character.

I've got a Jack Russell and am getting a Border soon.

I think Border terriers are my favourite.

My mum's got an Alsation that is just ridiculous. The biggest dog I've ever seen, bigger than Great Danes.

It's a nobhead too.

Jack russell brilliant dogs, always had them, got a puppy a few weeks back, that reminds me better take him out before he s***'s everywhere again! :@

German Sheppard - most loyal, devoted dog you'll find. If trained correctly he'll go through fire for you. Protect you and your family till his death. Keep in mind that it's a dog that needs training and you need to know what you're doing, but you'll have "man's best friend" in the end.

Most dogs do that to be fair.

Dogs like German Shepherds are fine, if you have the house/garden to suit it. I hate it when people have big ass dogs in teeny weeny little terraced houses.

And I can't believe you didn't choose Great Danes.... too obvious?

just got a new cat, and we're having precisely that problem, mate. :(

Same with the Rotweiler, GD. Both are excellent dogs but need total commitment and a lot of intelligence when handling. If handled properly, they're amazing creatures.
