Best dog?

I like dogs that can catch rabbits for you.

Sometimes go out to the garden pulling veg for dinner, knowing full well that any minute the dog will come running along, covered in cack, carrying a rabbit in it's mouth.

I just need to tell it that I don't like eating rats so much.

Most dogs do that to be fair.

Dogs like German Shepherds are fine, if you have the house/garden to suit it. I hate it when people have big ass dogs in teeny weeny little terraced houses.

And I can't believe you didn't choose Great Danes.... too obvious?

I've had three German Sheppards so far and they are great, but you really have to let them know that you're the alpha-male otherwise they might take control from you. I live in the country in a small farm/cottage house so Buller (dog's name) has plenty

And Nebs I agree with you on the Rottweiler but I've never had one.

My next dog will be an Irish Wolfhound - they seem great from what I have read on them and look amazing.

Obviously your dog is the best dog. But as far as breed of dog goes, which is the best? Although cats are better, I like dogs (apart from labs). But recently I've become quite attracted to pugs. It was actually Dutch Toffee that started the ball rolling. Then today there was a segment on the news about a beauty contest for pugs. Yesterday there was a documentary type thing on naughty dogs, which a featured a gang of poo-eating pugs. I just think they're adorable. I also like Jack Russells and Rotweilers. In saying that, I wouldn't have the last of these for obvious reasons.

There isnt a best dog, they are all horrid.

Dogs are great, goats are horrid.

just got a new cat, and we're having precisely that problem, mate.

Its a pain aint it, Hopefully he shud be alrite in a few weeks, other than he's as good as gold.
