Best Everton Centre Back pairing and best individual Centre Back

From 2004: Jags and Lescott.

As a defender Distin was a better CB but I can't discount the goals that Lescott provided.

Lescott was a bit overrated as a defender at CB. At LB tho he was crazy underrated and one of the best in the prem. Wingers just couldn't get by Lescott, he'd just cut in front of a winger's left shoulder and take the ball and ride the guy out of bounds. Clubs rarely attacked us from Lescott's area. And while he didn't have a cross, he used to just get the ball around the corner and just bully his way into the box to set up a good shot on goal or get a corner.

Ideally Lescott should have been RB (his game would have easily translated to RB) and Baines LB.

The current pairing is the best for a while.
Tarkowski moans about everything.
And his partner is still learning not to take any shabite.
Stones was and still is a baller.

In my time, Jagielka and Lescott has been the best pairing by a good distance.

I wasn't too sure about Jagielka at first, mainly due to his height and distribution, but he's the best individual defender I've seen here.
